Performing is where I feel the deepest connection with others. Whether I am playing Bach, Beethoven, George Lewis, or Augusta Read Thomas, their worlds may be centuries apart, their languages vastly different, yet each speaks to the same universal truth: the human desire to express, to reach, to connect. I am humbled and grateful to be a vessel for that expression, to carry their voices across time and space, and to share in the extraordinary, fleeting experience of music made alive.
